The truth is, I am not being laid off. I was actually offered the opportunity to keep my job and receive a little over a third of the compensation I have been receiving to do the same job for the last four years. So, the countdown is not to me losing my job, but to the moment at which I have to decide if I am still worth what I have come to believe I am.
